The performative intervention with a tree on Schillerplatz involved one artist embracing the tree and lying next to it while another wrapped both the tree and the person in transparent plastic foil and tape. 

The action symbolically refers to the appropriation, exploitation, and exhaustion of nature by humans. The tree is treated like a commodity: taken, packed, and prepared for transport – a gesture drawn from the everyday logic of capitalist trade. The person wrapped together with the tree becomes a symbol of human nature itself: a drive to possess and appropriate resources, even at the cost of one’s own life.
